Blackburn Lake 

Blackburn Lake Sanctuary was formed in 1888 by the damming of Gardiners Creek. The Sanctuary exists for the purpose of preserving a bushland and wildlife habitat of scenic and educational value and for passive recreation. It also contains an information centre which is operated by volunteers.

Schwerkolt Cottage

This is an original pioneer's stone cottage in a garden setting surrounded by 2.25 hectares of bushland. 3 rooms are furnished in the style of the period. The site has a museum of local history, documents, photographs, maps, newspapers and costumes of the era. The site adjoins beautiful Yarran Dheran bushland park.
